The “Fall in Love with Gyeongbuk 2026” social media promotional campaign, launched by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Culture and Tourism Corporation to boost train travel in Gyeongsangbuk-do, recorded a cumulative total of 616,000 views as of August 31. The combined total of views, likes, comments, and shares was recorded at 628,998.

This promotional campaign is being conducted through various digital channels—including influencers and Naver blogs—to publicize the benefits and details of travel packages in the North Gyeongsang region and to increase interest in train travel.

As of August 31, a total of 8 social media posts had been published across 6 influencer channels and additional supporting channels. These posts garnered a cumulative total of 616,000 views, and the combined metrics—views, likes, comments, and shares—reached 125.8% of the initial engagement target of 500,000.

The North Gyeongsang Province Culture and Tourism Corporation structured its promotional strategy by assigning specific roles to content based on the characteristics of each channel, ensuring that interest in travel products leads to a review of detailed information.

On social media, information necessary for actually using the North Gyeongsang Province train travel package—including key benefits, how to book, and procedures for refunds and usage—was shared through short videos and travel content. Alongside social media, which was used to generate interest in travel, the Naver Blog channel was operated to provide more detailed information on package benefits, booking, and usage.

User reactions also varied by content. Some posts recorded over 150,000 views and more than 4,800 comments, while others surpassed 120,000 views. In addition to views, a variety of reactions—including likes, comments, and shares—spurred an expansion of online touchpoints where users could access information about the North Gyeongsang Province train travel packages and related details.

Naver Blog content for users searching for travel information via search engines was managed separately from social media. A total of 10 posts were published, including 5 pieces by a group of journalists and 5 pieces by a group of participants who visited the North Gyeongsang region in person.

Blog content is managed and tracked separately from the performance of the eight social media posts, and is designed to allow users to view specific benefits and usage information when searching for travel to North Gyeongsang Province and related products.

In addition to social media and blogs, the North Gyeongsang Province Culture and Tourism Corporation is expanding the digital reach of its North Gyeongsang travel products by utilizing additional promotional channels, such as the Happy Point lock screen and social media channels in the tourism and travel sectors.

EMCG (CEO Maeng Se-gyu), which carried out the campaign, integrated influencer content with lifestyle-focused platforms—such as Naver Blog and the Happy Point lock screen—while taking into account the characteristics of each channel. The roles of each promotional channel were defined as follows: social media was used to generate interest in travel, blogs provided detailed information, and lifestyle-oriented platforms secured additional exposure.

Through this initiative, we ran a campaign to enable users to discover North Gyeongsang Province tourism products at various digital touchpoints and explore information about those products.

The North Gyeongsang Province Culture and Tourism Corporation plans to continue tracking key metrics for influencer content—such as views, likes, comments, and shares—even after the campaign ends. It also plans to analyze whether posts are kept online, their search visibility, and user reactions.

The report also provides a comprehensive overview of the actual content publication status and performance of influencers, blogs, and other supporting channels. The North Gyeongsang Province Culture and Tourism Corporation plans to use this information to inform future planning of tourism promotion content and digital media management strategies for North Gyeongsang Province.

An official from the North Gyeongsang Province Culture and Tourism Corporation stated, “We are focusing on conveying the benefits and usage information of North Gyeongsang’s train travel packages through content that is easy for travelers to understand, and on increasing interest in travel to North Gyeongsang through various digital channels,” and “We will continue to expand our content and promotional channels to effectively showcase the diverse charms of tourism in North Gyeongsang Province,” the official added.
