[세계비즈] Andong City, MCG Aircraft wrapping advertisement for the fourth consecutive year
Andong City announced on the 12th that it has been continuously promoting major tourist destinations for foreign and domestic tourists through aircraft media for the past three years since 2022, and through this, it has directly promoted 7.12 million foreign and domestic tourists (about 301 TP3T or more of foreign tourists) for three years.
According to Andong City, about 7,000 people visited Andong City's promotional page through in-flight QR marketing, and about 400,000 people went viral through SNS and 53 media outlets, even among the public who did not board the airplane.
Based on these promotional effects, Andong City is continuing to conduct integrated online and offline marketing using aircraft new media for the fourth consecutive year from May 1, and is utilizing three Jeju Air aircraft to wrap advertisements on the exterior and interior of the fuselage, and in addition, Asiana Airlines' AVOD video advertisements to promote Andong's famous tourist spots such as Hahoe Village and Dosan Seowon.
The city of Andong said that despite the difficulties faced by its citizens in the wake of the recent forest fires, it decided to continue to utilize the exciting medium of aircraft, which has already proven its effectiveness through long-term promotional activities, to spread the word about the city's tourism potential and actively encourage more interest in and visits to Andong.
The airplanes operate mainly international flights and have been playing a role in promoting Andong and attracting foreign tourists to Japan, Southeast Asian countries, including destinations in China's Shandong Province (Yantai, Qingdao, and Weihai), which have friendly relations with Andong City, and also to Japan and Southeast Asian countries.
(EMCG) provides a promotional marketing system for various brands and domestic and overseas travelers based on the only aircraft graphic media (a.k.a. aircraft advertisement, aircraft wrapping advertisement) in Korea.
Aircraft graphic media is benefiting from the high frequency of Gen MZ travelers and the ability to target them with favorable promotional materials for an average flight duration of more than three to four hours, resulting in higher brand recognition and recall rates than other media, as well as the opportunity to engage with them online for approximately 50 minutes via QR codes.
